Raghav Chadha accused of violating privilege of MPs

In a Rajya Sabha bulletin on Wednesday, it was stated that the chairman had received complaints from MPs Sasmit Patra, S Phangnon Konyak, M. Thambidurai, and Narhari Amin alleging that Raghav Chadha had violated their privilege by, among other things, using their names in a motion on August 7 without their permission and in violation of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business.

Piyush Goyal stated that the government has presented a convincing case, saying “all six members are disturbed, hurt, and looking to the chair for justice.”

The names of the four MPs were included in Mr. Chadha’s proposal to form a Select Committee to examine the “Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (Amendment) Bill, 2023.”
