Woman stripped naked, paraded in Rajasthan village; husband arrested

Police in Rajasthan reported on Friday that a 21-year-old tribal lady was allegedly paraded in a village in the Pratapgarh district while being stripped naked by her husband and in-laws. While the Bharatiya Janata Party said that “Rajasthan is again ashamed” as a result of the occurrence, chief minister Ashok Gehlot said he ordered the director general of police to send the ADG (Crime) to the scene and take strong action in this case.

According to district superintendent of police Amit Kumar, the police detained three persons on Saturday in connection with the incident, including the woman’s husband. The accused attempted to run after seeing the police, according to the police, and was hurt in the process. They are being treated in Pratapgarh’s district hospital, and then they will be brought before the judge.

The woman was in a relationship with another man, according to Dhariyawad SHO Peshawar Khan, who also noted that the incident happened on Thursday.

Umesh Mishra, the director general of police (DGP) for Rajasthan, claimed that she was abducted by her in-laws and taken to their village, where the atrocity occurred. He said that she was staying with another man, which annoyed her in-laws.

Shocking video from Pratapgarh, Rajasthan

A man is seen in the frightening video stripping the woman in front of witnesses before flaunting her in a village.

Amit Kumar, the Pratapgarh superintendent of police, is camped out in the area, and Mishra claimed the state government has taken the issue very seriously, forming six squads to apprehend the suspects.

A video of a woman being stripped naked by her in-laws after a family quarrel has surfaced in Pratapgarh district, according to Ashok Gehlot, who responded to the event on X (formerly Twitter). ADG Crime should be dispatched immediately, and the Director General of Police has been ordered to take stern measures.

Such criminals have no place in a civilized society. These culprits will be tried in a fast-track court, prosecuted, and punished as soon as feasible.

However, the BJP harshly criticized the Gehlot administration, with JP Nadda, its president, claiming that governance in the state is “totally absent” while the chief minister and his cabinet members are engaged in a factional conflict.

The video from Pratapgarh, Rajasthan, is terrible, Nadda stated on X. What’s worse is that Rajasthan has no form of government at all. The remaining time is spent in Delhi appeasing one dynasty while the CM and Ministers are occupied resolving factional disputes. The state’s utter disregard for the problem of women’s protection is understandable.

He continued, “Women are the target of harassment every single day. The Rajasthani people will give the state government a lesson.

Vasundhara Raje, a former chief minister, claimed that although a video of a pregnant woman being exposed in public was becoming viral on social media, the administration was unaware of it. Additionally, she urged people to refrain from sharing the video, claiming that the act had embarrassed Rajasthan.

Amit Malviya, the chairman of the BJP’s information technology division, posted the video on X and stated, “A horrific incident of stripping and thrashing a woman has come to light in Dhariyavad, a tribally predominate district of Rajasthan. The administration, government, and police are still unaware that two days have passed.

CP Joshi, a representative for Chittorgarh in the Rajasthan BJP, also commented on the incident. Rajasthan is embarrassed once more today. This female atrocity occurred in the bottom quota of Pahada Gram Panchayat in Dhariyawad Tehsil of Pratapgarh district, and the administration was completely unaware of it. The reason Rajasthan is ranked first in rape and atrocities against women is explained by this, he wrote on X.

Nagraj Meena, a Congress lawmaker from the Pratapgarh district’s Dhariyawad assembly segment, informed the news agency ANI that he has ordered the police to act quickly in this case.

“I went straight to the Dhariyawad police station after learning about the event. The District Collector and District Superintendent of Police and I have talked about this. It is impossible to limit one’s disapproval of the incident that occurred. The cops will respond quickly to this situation. I’ve already told the cops to act right away in this case,” he stated.

The horrific act that occurred in Pratapgarh, Rajasthan, is strongly condemned by NCW. A woman was sexually assaulted, naked, and caught on camera. Police inactivity is unacceptable, notwithstanding the fact that it occurred two days earlier. @sharmarekha (NCW chairwoman) has given the state’s DGP instructions to swiftly apprehend the offenders and apply the relevant IPC sanctions. The NCW stated, “We need a thorough report within five days.

“They stole her dignity,” said the victim’s father

The perpetrator, according to the victim’s father, took her dignity. The victim’s father told reporters about the incident: “The incident happened the day before yesterday. Everything was damaged by them (the accused). Her self-respect was taken. Her garments were torn as they assaulted her. They later arrived to deliver her home. Four or five persons were present.
