Lucknow Super Giants Release Eight Players Ahead of IPL 2024 Auction
On December 19, the IPL 2024 auction is set to take place at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai. The budget for each squad would be Rs. 100 crore, up from Rs. 95 crore the year before.
For every player, this is the third and last year of a three-year contract; a massive auction is anticipated the following year.
The auction will be placed outside of India for the first time this time. The auction was ultimately conducted in Kochi last year, although the BCCI had originally intended for it to take place in Istanbul.
The Lucknow Super Giants released eight players on Sunday, November 26, 2023, the retention day, indicating that they had made no significant roster changes before the IPL 2024 auction. Only Daniel Sams and Jaydev Unadkat were well-known among the eight players; the other players were domestic Indian players who had no bearing on the decisions made on the playing eleven.
Thanks to these releases, the Super Giants will now have ₹13.9 crore before the December 19 auction at the Coco-Cola arena in Dubai. Only one of the eight spots they need to fill is overseas. They’ll use every effort on behalf of Rachin Ravindra. They are also the team with the least amount of money in the competition, at ₹13.9 crore.
