Rajasthan Royals Release 10 Players Ahead of IPL 2024 Auction

The Rajasthan Royals have decided to keep the majority of their starting eleven for the Indian Premier League 2024 season. Players like Ravichandran Ashwin, Jos Buttler, and Sanju Samson will all be playing for the Rajasthan Royals for at least one more season. The Royals have released Joe Root in the meantime.

The Rajasthan Royals have released 10 players ahead of the IPL 2024 auction, including experienced campaigners like Joe Root, Jason Holder, and KC Cariappa. The franchise has also parted ways with Devdutt Padikkal, who has been traded to the Lucknow Super Giants.

The decision to release these players is a sign that the Royals are looking to rebuild their squad for the upcoming season. The franchise has struggled in recent years, finishing in the bottom half of the table in the last two IPL seasons.

The Royals will now have a chance to rebuild their team with fresh talent at the IPL 2024 auction. The auction is scheduled to take place in December, and the Royals will have a purse of Rs 80 crore to spend.

Despite a slight setback last season, the Rajasthan Royals are largely keeping their squad intact for the upcoming Indian Premier League 2024 season. This means that key players like Sanju Samson, Jos Buttler, Ravichandran Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal, Trent Boult, and recently acquired Avesh Khan will remain with the franchise.

The Royals’ decision to retain their core players is a testament to their belief in the team’s potential. With a solid foundation in place, the Royals will be looking to add a few more pieces to the puzzle during the IPL 2024 auction in order to challenge for the title.

Joe Root, an Englishman, is the one name that sticks out among those provided by the Royals. Following Root’s decision to withdraw from the upcoming tournament, RR did the same.
