Wasim Jaffer: Sanju Samson and Shubman Gill need to find form in the fourth T20I

Former India cricketer Wasim Jaffer has urged Sanju Samson and Shubman Gill to find form in the fourth T20I against West Indies in Kolkata on Friday. The two batsmen have been inconsistent in the series so far, and Jaffer believes that they need to step up and score runs if India are to win the series.

“Samson and Gill are two talented batsmen, but they have not been able to convert their starts into big scores in this series,” Jaffer said. “They need to find form in the fourth T20I if India are to win the series. The pitch in Kolkata is a good one for batting, so they should be able to score runs if they get their eye in.”

Samson has scored 46 runs in three innings in the series, while Gill has scored 60 runs in two innings. Both batsmen have looked good at times, but they have not been able to consistently put together big scores.

Jaffer believes that Samson and Gill need to be more aggressive in their approach. “They need to take on the bowlers and score runs from the start,” he said. “They should not be afraid to hit the ball over the boundary. If they can do that, they will be a handful for the West Indies bowlers.”

The fourth T20I is a must-win for India if they want to stay in contention for the series. Samson and Gill will be key to India’s chances of winning the match, and they will need to find form if India are to be successful.

“This is a big match for India, and Samson and Gill need to step up,” Jaffer said. “They are two talented batsmen, and they have the ability to win matches for India. I am sure they will be looking to do that in the fourth T20I.”
