SunRisers Hyderabad Makes Bold Moves Ahead of IPL 2024 Auction
In a bid to revamp their squad, SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) released around half a dozen players and will enter the upcoming mini-auction with a significant amount of money to spend. The team is hoping to turn their fortunes around in the 17th edition of the IPL.
SRH made some bold decisions, releasing players across all departments, from the top order to the bowling unit. On Saturday, in the third trade of the season, SRH traded Mayank Dagar to Royal Challengers Bangalore in exchange for Shahbaz Ahmed.
IPL 2024 Auction to Mark Historical Shift to Dubai
In a groundbreaking move, the IPL 2024 auction will be held outside India for the first time, marking a significant shift in the league’s history. The auction is scheduled to take place in Dubai on December 19.
Initially, the BCCI had contemplated holding the auction in Istanbul last year. However, the event was eventually held in Kochi. The decision to move the auction to Dubai is a testament to the IPL’s growing global appeal and its ability to attract international attention.
