November 24 saw the start of a four-day ceasefire in Gaza as part of an agreement that Qatar assisted in mediating. According to Qatar, among the 24 prisoners who were released include 13 Israeli citizens, 10 Thai people, and one Filipino citizen.

In the first round of a prisoner exchange under a four-day cease-fire that provided a tiny bit of respite to both parties, Israel liberated 39 Palestinians from jail on Friday, while Hamas released 24 captives that it had been holding captive in Gaza for weeks.

According to sources, Israel has obtained a list of hostages that Hamas, the terrorist Palestinian organization, plans to release from Gaza on Saturday.

According to a statement from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office, Israeli security personnel were going over the list. Netanyahu’s administration has pledged to work toward the release of all captives that Hamas took during an attack on Israel on October 7.

On Friday, the 25 hostages who had been detained in the Gaza Strip were freed. Among them were 12 Thai citizens and 13 Israeli women and children. This is the first batch of people to be released under the terms of the cease-fire that Israel and Hamas agreed upon just hours ago. Along with the exchange of captives, 39 Palestinian detainees and inmates were released from Israeli custody.

It was the first quiet night for Gazans in seven weeks of fighting. It is anticipated that 200 aid trucks will reach Gaza today. In return for 42 Palestinian inmates, 14 additional Israeli prisoners are scheduled to be released later in the day.
